I Wish I Had More Sunday's Like This...

Its been a hectic but good Sunday so far... Here are the highlights...

• Completing another chapter of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (it seems I have been making a booboo and spelling it as "Unchartered" in my previous posts... the offending posts have now been edited);
• Seeing this, early in the morning;

• Picking up this up for RM 110.00;

• Beating PJ's score in Omega Five;

• Rearranging my setup so that the Media Centre, Home Theatre Setup, PS2, Xbox 360 Elite and PS3 40gb can all coexist peacefully; and
• Completing the first seven levels of Resistance: The Fall of Man...

So what did you guys do today???

Rogue Galaxy...

Picked up Rogue Galaxy yesterday night and I must say, its a GREAT game!!! The story is simplistic at best but the characters seem very well fleshed out and the voice acting definitely adds to the atmosphere...

The loading screen...

The cell shaded graphics make the game a gorgeous one, but the the presentation is let down buy the fact that you can only select mono or stereo sound... yes there are no surround sound options, so that funky setup you have in your gaming room is going to waste...

Jaster and co. at the save point...

The options screen...

The battles are a cross between an action game and a turn based game, as you when you access the abilities and the item menus, it pauses the battle and moves to an interface that is present in most turn based rpgs...

Overall a good buy and it should be the perfect game to waste the hours away...

Ships Within 24 Hours...

I have been getting lots of emails lately (asking where I got my God of War 2 disc)... So here's the link...

Alternatively, you could try this link which ships within 1 to 5 days...

Please note that the disc I got is for a NTSC/UC machine, therefore kindly confirm that you have a NTSC/UC machine before plonking down the cash for God of War 2...

Sisters Of Fate...

I just reached the Sisters of Fate... apparently they are supposed to be able to teleport Kratos back to the exact moment when Zeus betrayed him, to allow him to exact his revenge (according to Gaia, Zeus is most vulnerable when he is about to deliver the killing blow to Kratos)... I wonder how big the temple is???

God Of War 2...

Beginning of rant... I am retyping this entry again, because my blog provider decided to go cuckoo and delete my post... End of rant...

Finally got my hands on God of War 2 and its AWESOME... the game mechanics didn't change much (thats a good thing... why mess with something that works so well???)...

There's lots of baddies for "Mr Angry" (Kratos) to kill and even more ways to send em to Hades... One minor complaint though, the baddies a little lethargic and offer very little in the form of resistance... the revised combo meter is a nice touch though...

The puzzles however, assume that players have the attention span of an amoeba... gone are the truly expansive puzzles... now all you need so solve a puzzle is no further than 3 screens in any direction...

Overall, a good game... a definite must buy and fitting swan song for the ps2...

Going Once...Going Twice..Sold!!!

After trying to pimp off my PS2 via email and other internet based facilities over the span of 2 months, I finally sold the old PS2 to Rahman today... Bless the kind soul for paying me RM450.00 for it... Its a good day hahahahahahaha... In case you're wondering why I sold my PS2... here's a quick recap... new games on DVD9 media do not run on that machine and the cost to get it upgraded would be in the area of RM190.00-250.00... So I was thinking that it would be a better bet to get a new PStwo as it would only be RM350.00 more and I get a new machine with a 1 year warranty, free games and I wouldn't have to contend with the dodgy 1 month upgrade warranty... Should have seen his face... filled with anticipation... ahhhhhh good thing he ain't a GT4 or God of War fan or he would be sorely disappointed...

Out With The Old And In With The New...

Ah bliss... a new PStwo... now I can play GT4 and God of War hahahahahahaha... whoever said money can't buy happiness has clearly never tried playing GT4 on my old PS2...

Run Fiona...

Started playing Haunting Ground by Capcom today... freaky... basiaclly its about this girl with rather large hooters bouncing em around as she tries to escape her fiendish captors... got to rest my eyes now... they're tired from following those bouncy on-screen objects hahahahahaha

More Suikoden 4...

As of date, I've already clocked about 26 hours of gameplay time... hahaha hardcore...

Suikoden 4

Suikoden 4 has taken up many many hours of my life... started playing it last week and haven't stopped since... as you can see... if I'm left to my own devices... TNB gets extra revenue from all my video game playing...

Sony can kiss my a$s

Still can't play GT4... those f*ckers at Sony are to blame... releasing a DVD9 game thats only runs on a series 50XXX or later PS2 or the new PStwo's... damn f*cks... i've been waiting 2.5 years to play it...

GT4 is mine...

Just got GT4... gonna pop it in the machine and spend hours and hours of quality time with it...

Dante's Awakening ...

DMC3 rocks!!! Look out demons here I come hahahahahaha
