Woosh...

Thats the sound of my bank balance being depleted at light speed... Went shopping for a new primary phone yesterday (with MarauderzMY, KevinMYUS and Jeanie @ 1 Utama) and I settled on the Dopod D810 (aka the HTC Trinity)... It was a pretty sweet deal at RM 2988 as it not only included what was in the box but also:

  1. An extra screen protector (RM 18 value)
  2. A non slip grip thing - I can't remember what they are called (RM 18 value)
  3. A Toshiba 2gb mini sd (RM 90 value)
  4. An i-tech bluetooth handsfree (RM 168 value)
  5. An extra usb cable (RM 12 value)
  6. A push email susbcription (RM 200 value)

The shop where I purchased the phone provided fairly good service but they were a little over zealous... Why do I say so??? Well for starters they proceeded to clean the phone and paste on the screen protector, setup the unit, flash to the latest official rom, install additional software, etc... before I even paid them a single sen... and they even let me leave the shop to have dinner while they proceeded on to work on the unit... If I wanted to be mean and let them crap in their pants, I would've just "forgotten" that I told them I wanted the unit and gone home after dinner... but that is not how we roll... I went back eventually (approximately after 3 very frantic phonecalls hahahahahahahahaha)... They were so happy to see me at the end that I received a little rebate... How much??? Can't say but, it more than covers the dinner we had at sushi groove... hahahahaha...

Ooh... while we were there, we managed to try out the HTC Touch (well actually MarauderzMY tried it out)... and what did our resident tech guru think of it??? Well not to be unkind, I think he thought that it sucked big time... Afterall what is the touch but a slim under-powered device with a special app launcher??? However, if you're one of those people that think its the best thing since sliced bread, you will be pleased to know that it is being launched today... retail prices will also be made known today so you guys can start going to the bank to withdraw your wads of RM...
