Recycling…

Everyone has a GPS unit or at least a phone with GPS functionality these days, so everyone would have at one point in time resorted to one of those RM 12.00 phone/pda/GPS holders…

The thing is, these things don’t last… Most of the time I wouldn’t think twice about buying a replacement due to the relatively low cost involved, but this is probably the third of fourth one that I have gotten in the past 10 months.. That works out to be about RM 3.60 – RM 4.80 per month… Which works out to be a bowl of my favourite pan mee and a drink every month… RAWR!!! For those that know me in person, you would know that I am pudgy and a person of my stature needs lots of food, so when I am deprived of food its a big deal…

So with that shocking realisation, I set out to recycle my broken phone holder!!!

And this was what I came up with…

Basically, I took apart the arms and opened up the plastic housing and sandwiched the capdase belt clip into the phone holder’s housing… I also took the foam bits from the retractable arms to fill the various gaps that were present…

Its been 2 days since I made my frankenstein phone holder and it has been working out well… Looks like I will finally have a holder that will last a year… =P…
