The game show on Channel 4, Countdown has been appealing to wordsmiths and number-crunchers since 1982. The popular game show is based on the French original, "Des Chiffres et Des Lettres" and is hosted by Richard Whiteley and is co-hosted byCarol Vorderman. Countdown airs daily at 3:15pm.
Since 1982, the clock music has played over 27,000 times, Carol has chosen over 70,000 letters for the contestants, and the word 'conundrum' has featured as the Conundrum on at least one occasion.
