#MVC3 !!!

I’m gonna take some time off World Of Warcraft and dedicate it to Marvel Vs Capcom 3 !!! Its gonna be fun, fun, fun !!!

Brainsssssss!!!

Dead Rising 2 is very much like Dead Rising 1… So if you liked the first game you should like the second… So is that a good thing or bad thing??? Well it slides both ways really… Some will cry foul that it feels very much like Dead Rising 1.5 while some will just accept that Capcom is just refining a “tried and tested” formula…

Either way, you can help but feel that the game designers got lazy and decided to be really liberal with the “cut and paste”… The “cut and paste” spree doesn’t just include the environments and character models, it includes the bosses as well!!! Not convinced, well play the game and let me know if the family of rednecks and butcher from the first game remind you of any of the bosses from the second game… Hell even one particular NPC looks like Isabelle from the first game!!!

By now, it must seem that the game is nothing more than a soulless sequel put out to milk the fans for all their hard earned cash right??? Well not exactly, because unlike the first game, this one is best experienced with a friend!!! YES!!! There is multiplayer and it is AWESOME!!! Who would have thought that slaughtering zombies using everyday household items with a friend could be so satisfying???

So my advice to you aspiring zombie killers is to ignore all the negative reviews you see online about Dead Rising 2 and pick it up… Who knows there might be another zombie killer out there that needs your help…  

Should I Bother???

I finished COD: MW2 last night and it was one EPIC ride!!! Should I bother with the rest of the achievements or should I go back to the RPG masterpiece that is Dragon Age??

5 Gs...

Looks like my unhealthy obsession paid off... I unlocked an achievement while playing a game of lonewolves on Construct...

Although the achievement is only worth 5 gs, no other achievement thus far has given me greater joy...

Made It!!!

Finally caught up with MarauderzMY!!! We are now both 5 exp away from Sergeant (Grade 2)!!!

Also took some time to play campaign on legendary just now... If we can hold this momentum, our gamerscore will go up another 125...

Halo 3... The scale of the battles are just magnificent... everything is done just right... With every installment of Halo the bars are raised, and with Halo 3 standards are redefined... Its an EPIC adventure and the fitting end...

What The???

It was the usual routine... get home, shower, turn on the laptop to check for emails, fix a drink, turn on the fan, sit in front of the tv, fire up the 360 and urm... nothing happened... I peeked at it and KNNCCB!!! I saw the ring of death!!! ROD!!! POOHNIABOH!!! MCH!!! LPPL!!!

I held my breath... restarted it and it was fine... completed Bioshock... missed out on an achievement because I couldn't find the last little sister on the second last level but its ok... Broke 18k gs as well... I just hope, it turns on without a hitch later...

Pray for me...

Would You Look At The Size Of That...

PWAH!!! Completed Aegis Wing on Insane with MobiusVyper, Melons and SpectralVyper just now and I must say it was a wild ride (partly because my ship was attached to one of two guys in the game that didn't have a license hahahahahahaha)... So this brings the gs tally of the game to 170 out of a possible 200... I wonder if its too hard to get the other 30 gs... Time will tell...

Rant: Oh one more thing... the big dude on the last level of episode 2 for Doom (Tower of Babel) is a damn camper with a big rocket launcher... So if you haven't played Doom, heed my warning and run when you see a room with movement... It might be the last thing you see... Don't bother being greedy and picking up the rocket launcher ammo, you might not even stay alive long enough to use it... End of rant...

Knuckle Sandwich!!!

I've completed the career mode of FNR3 (and obtained the 1000 gs) and it was a swell ride... Love punching the opponents into a pulp and watching them tire as the match progresses... the controls are pretty tight (although there is a slight delay) and the character models accurate... the sweat is a little overdone though... the game is not overly difficult and stringing the various combos are easy... overall a good purchase for RM 80.00

The beads of sweat are still rolling off my forehead, my thumbs feel like they're been ripped from my hands with pliers and my eyes are still screwed... but its all worth it... I've broken the 8.1 million barrier in Heavy Weapon... hehehehehe

In other related news, I managed to pick up 5 team elimination medals in lost planet and pushed my gamerscore to 11001... Not bad for a lazy Sunday eh???

Its Been A Year And 5 Days...

Its been a year and 5 days since I started my xbox 360 adventure, and my oh my what a ride its been!!! I've played some well put together games, met a bunch of nice people, met his royal gayness (aka PrivateJ0hn), pimped my box (with a new lcd, home theatre, pega cooling stand, monster cables, netgear router, gel tabz, belkin avr, play and charge kit and live vision camera) and whored my gamerscore... however I could have done without the road-bumps such as meeting random pricks online (sore losers and potty mouthed racist sheep f*ckers), game glitches, crappy online lobbies and over competitive pre-teens (who think they are playing for some pro gaming tournament) from across the causeway...

How will my adventure progress in 2007??? Only time will tell...

Gripes...

Warning: Rant ahead

The disclaimer about the experience (of a game) possibly changing during online play that pops up during startup (of all xbox live enabled games), has never been more true until yesterday night... I would not say that I am the most patient person alive, but I am still fairly patient... so it irks me when I get "friends" who ask for help to accomplish a particular objective but choose not to follow instructions... they choose not to follow instructions because they "assume" they know everything... but if they knew "everything", why do they need my help then??? Confused??? So am I...

For instance, "Friend A" needed some help with an achivement in PGR3... the photographer achievement to be exact... Not to be overly critical I think the instructions to get the achievement were fairly straight forward... "take a picture in every city" it says... so imagine my surprise when I get a frantic call from my friend-in-need saying that he needs me to walk him through the entire process... So there I was telling him how I got my achievement... I believe that I was fairly descriptive and I was as patient as anyone could be... but what does he do??? he cuts me off not once but five times because he apparently knows how to get it done... ok champion oh champions its been 24 hours since you called me last night, and you have been playing PGR3 non stop, so how come you don't have the damn achievement yet??? Answer: Because your head is too big and you can't listen to others... more importantly its because you can't read for shit... thats why I feel so comfortable in blogging about the whole scenario... because you can't read... plain and simple... you are probably one of those guys that walks to a "cash only" counter at the supermarket hoping to pay with your credit card...

However, the above was not as good as the scenario I faced a couple hours later... I was playing a public GOW game and some Brit joined... note: he joined the game... as in he wasn't invited... he could plainly see that the host of the game was from Singapore... so its fair to say that even with the wealth of information available to him, he still chose to join the game on his own free will... but what does this fine specimen from England do??? He not only bitches about the lag... He starts spewing profanity and having a hissy fit just like some two dollar whore who doesn't get any customers... Not only does this throw the general notion that Brits are the most polite people on the planet... it shows you that sometimes that kids are not necessarily the immature ones... not only have I played with 16 year olds... but "polite" 16 year olds... So I guess the notion that they are obnoxious little freaks on XBL is out of the window as well...

Fast forward another couple hours and I am party to another scenario... This time we have a player who is "overly polite"... Before you get your panties up in knots by thinking I have no idea what I want, please reserve judgement until you read the next few lines... I was playing a team deathmatch game with this player and after the 3 rounds (which we won), he apologised because he had the lowest number of kills... I was gonna open my mouth and say "Hey we all did our part" or "Hey man its just a game" or "Well we still won anyway dude so don't worry" but before I could, he floors me by saying "I am playing terribly right now because of the lag... I am normally more 1337... Just check out my GOW ranked match achivements... if there was no lag I would have kicked all their asses while you guys just sit there and do nothing"... Urm I am no network engineer or expert in the field but I guess that he should have stuck to lan gaming if he wanted to have relatively "lag free" games... I mean think about it... Logging on the internet/XBL with hopes of playing a lag free game??? Some people clearly have their heads in their ass...

After many hours of whoring, I finally satisfied my urges... I hit the 10110 gamerscore mark!!! About time too... I played PDZ, PGR3, SCDA, COD2, GW, DOA4 and Viva Pinata to get the points I needed...

Have You Wondered...

Have you ever wondered as to what kind of world / environment we're living in??? I wouldn't go all out and say that things have taken a nosedive compared to a couple decades ago but I dare say that some things are not quite right...

Whats not right in the world today??? Well here are some prime examples...

1. 30 year olds using kids half their age to boost for achievements on XBL (if you must know, yes I know of 30 year olds that really resort to such behaviour... I'm barely 28 so it can't be me)...
2. Adults forcing their kids to pretend that they are below 12 years of age, so that they qualify as kids during buffets (I know all you guys see this alot... and I mean alot... Heck I was told to pretend that I was 12 all the way till I was 15)...
3. Binge drinking and then vomitting all over the place (this behaviour can't be tolerated as it is an utter waste of $$$ and booze... if they just wanted to vomit all over the place, ingesting some leftovers that have been sitting in their fridge for months is not only more effective, its cheaper as well)...
4. This "missed call syndrome"... What is it??? This refers to all those annoying little sh*ts that give you "missed calls" on your cellphones in hopes that you will call them back... The thing is, if they did it once or twice it will still be ok... but these guys have turned it into an art form and use this method as their primary means of communication (Gabes if you read really carefully, you'd know that I am in fact bitching about you... remember you are not over sensitive, I am BITCHING about you)...
5. All those evo's and beng rockets on the road (Come on guys make up your minds... If you wanted an evo, you should have bought an evo in the first place... because all those decals and mods that scream evo x won't turn your junk into anything but an evo zero... as for those that mod their cars to look like spaceships, try getting a job with NASA, I heard they need engineers)...
6. Puny steaks (Rule no 1, never ever screw with a man's steak, especially mine... a steak is supposed to be at least an inch and a half thick and its supposed to bleed a little when cut... so if you gonna dump a dry slice of beef no thicker than a couple pieces of paper and call it a steak, please forgive me if I kick your ass)...
7. All those guys who think they are fiddy (50 cent) or some other rap star (Ok I'll admit the clothes look the part and playing dress up is fine... but please use the voices your momma gave you and not some accent you picked up from the many hours of MTV)...
