ARGH!!! Frustration x 1000000000!!!

Warning this is gonna be a bumper post... My thoughts are not very coherent right now, so bear with me when I gel many unrelated topics together... Thanks for your kind understanding...

The second form of the last boss for heavenly sword is a pain!!! I know all I'm supposed to do is deflect his shots and roll around (ad infinitum) but I can't seem to do it... Come on heroes are not supposed to roll around like that... Heroes stand and lay down the bitch slap!!! Frustration x 10000000000000000!!!

I don't mean to be a pussy but I've tried many times and I feel the frustration involved is not worth it... Therefore, I will graciously accept any offers for save games...

On the xbox 360 front, I've managed to hit level 120 with celine and unlock extreme mode!!! I've just started a new game with curian and it seems to be keeping me busy for now...

On a side note... I've just picked up a used copy of FF III for the ndsl (hehehehe only RM 70.00!!!)... Looks like its time to dust off the little thing and get some game on... However, I would need a charger before I can do anything as it seems that I have misplaced mine... Frustration x 100000000000000000000000000000!!!

Oh here's a cumulative update for the fuel consumption as well... Who knows how many months I've put this off...

Here are the numbers (over a 3 month period)...

Petrol: Shell Super
Value of gas pumped (G): RM 1115.91
Volume of gas in litres (G / 1.92 = L): 581.2 litres
Starting value on the odometer (A): 6918.4 km
Ending value on the odometer (B): 16822.4 km
Total distance traveled (B - A = C): 7904.0 km
KM / L (C / L): 13.6 km/l
Ratio of city driving to highway cruising: 5:3

I don't know how often I'll be updating the fuel consumption numbers but, rest assured that I will do it from time to time...

The Past Few Days...

*Warning - Super Long Post Ahead*

The past couple of days have been especially long because of the obscene amount of work and driving that I've been subjected to... Last Friday morning I went off to Ipoh to meet some clients and colleagues and it was pretty much a "bitching" marathon... "She said" and "He said" for 9 bloody hours... at least they had the decency to buy me lunch and dinner... Good thing that Kent provided some comic relief after my long strenous day or I would have gone mad... and just like every other time I go to Ipoh, I couldn't sleep on the first night... Good thing I had my NDSL with me... It was a good time to test the battery life of the NDSL as well... After spending the night playing Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, I can safely say that the battery of the NDSL lasts approximately 4 hours with the wi-fi turned off...

The next day started off rather well, a good shit, fresh air and breakfast at Macy... Hor Hee from the PMS men is always good but I would have preferred Mee Jawa (Mee Jawa Aunty is you are reading this, please reopen your stall at Macy ASAP!!!)... After breakfast it was off to work... The second day was by far a whole lot better than the first... for starters, no one was screaming and everyone seemed like they were in high-spirits... maybe some of em got laid the night before... after a fairly long brainstorming session, I was treated to lunch... and boy it was a lunch to remember!!! The food was absolutely divine... and with food of such quality, quantity always rocks!!!

By the time I got back from feeding my face, it was 3.30 pm, as I was in the mood for a little comic relief, I decided to teach Kent the difference between right and left... the teaching tool of choice??? The NDSL and Zoo Keeper!!!

Dinner was another treat because Mummy Ho cooked up a storm... there was herbal soup, fried fish, assorted veggies, roast pork (hahahaha this post is officially not halal) and trotters... During dinner we found out that Kent was a true blue Ho afterall, as he favoured the roast pork and trotters above everything else...

After dinner, we sat down and watched some TV and then it happened... This lard ass stuffed a whole piece of tofu in his mouth... A WHOLE 2" x 2" PIECE!!! By the looks of it he wasn't your average run-of-the-mill lard ass but a celebrity lard ass... You know, the kind that travels to all the obscure locations to sample the food together with a waif like model co-host... In the 45 mins that we watched the program, lard ass stuffed his face with all sorts of poultry, seafood, vegetables and even some unidentifiable objects... he has a gut that touches the steering wheel when he drives and an ass that vibrates like jello on top of a washing machine when he walks... not wanting to be outdone, I managed to convince Jeanie to go to the "Umbrella Stall Food Court" for some supper... and when we got there, I held court... I had some ikan bakar (a whole chicken fish... you know the fish that tastes like chicken), a plate of fried sotong (for 2 persons), ice kacang and an iced tea... after I convinced myself that the colume of food that I had ingested was on par with the lard ass on TV , we went home... I too can be on TV I thought...

That night sleep came easy... it was either that or I passed out because I over ate... the next morning, Jeanie and I drove off to Kao Lee to purchase some dim sum for breakfast... we also made a pit stop at Macy for some ice coffee and some egg custard for Kent... it was then that I realised that the cost of living is way way lower than KL... I mean way lower... I paid only RM 43 ish for the dim sum in Ipoh while the very same dim sum could have easily cost RM 90 ish in KL... Lunch was another Mummy Ho classic, pasta!!! It was good enough to warrant 3 portions!!!

After some bumming around after lunch, we began the journey back to KL... The journey was pretty uneventful except for some idiotic motorcyclists treating the highway like their personal race track...

Stopped for some Japanese food at Mont Kiara before sending Jeanie and Yvonne home... Yvonne stumped me when she fired up Big Brain Academy and put my score to shame... Her brain weighs a staggering 20gms heavier... I guess I have to view her in a new light from now on...

My Brain Is 8 Years Younger???

Just fired up Brain Age and after completing the "exercises" I found out that my brain is 20 years old!!! 20 years is the best score you can get apparently, so I guess that either the program is screwy or my gray matter is actually in pristine condition... If however, your brain is older than your actual age, fear not as the carefully crafted exercises that are included in the program will ensure your brain is adequately taxed until it becomes as sharp as a cleaver...

Whipping It Out In Public...

As I was having a less than pleasant say in the office today, I whipped out my NDSL during lunch to get a short gaming fix... Zoo Keeper like a whiskey and ginger ale always satisfies (Note: Please drink responsibly, if you can't hold your drink, I suggest not drinking at all, because you're not just making a fool out of yourself but its a waste of good booze)... decided to be cheeky as well and decided to connect to the adjacent shop's wireless ap... and guess what??? I was on WFC within seconds!!! I am definitely having lunch at that cafe' more often from now on... My Friend Code is 266366-202870, so if you fancy a game of Mario Kart DS, you know what to do...

Fondling And Tapping My Stick...

(Disclaimer: the contributors of this blog do not advocate the downloading of Roms or the use of flash carts to play downloaded games from the internet... the flash cart shown above was purchased only to run homebrew programs)

Its been a hectic couple of weeks and therefore, I decided to reward myself by getting an Enamel Navy Nintendo DS Lite (hereinafter referred to as "NDSL") and some "not so kosher" goodies to go with it...

First off, I have to say that the NDSL is a whole lot more fun that I thought it would be... Its way way ahead of the PSP I have lying around the house (Note: The PSP has been used for every other thing but gaming... movies, music, pictures, ebooks, rss feeds, etc...)

The screen is brilliant, the thumbpad top notch, the touchscreen worked as it should but the damn thing is a bloody finger print magnet... Good thing I purchased the protective stickers for the NDSL as they minimize the finger prints somewhat and protect the damn thing from scratches... Putting on the protective stickers were a bitch though...

The first bits of homebrew that were loaded on it were the beup (MSN Messenger client) and DSorganize to expand its functionality so I can IM on the go and keep my life in order... Why didn't I get a PDA you ask... Its because I needed something that played games as while without the need to lug around another gadget... Besides the NDSL is slightly cheaper than the PDA / Smartphone that I'm eyeing...

The games that I'm playing on this little bundle of joy are a world apart from the games I normally play on my PC, 360, PStwo or PSP... thats right... no ultra violent games, no 2d fighters, no FPS' and no RPG's... just puzzle games like Zoo Keeper and Big Brain Academy (according to the game my brain weighs 900 gm... and that I have excellent memory skills but am sorely lacking in some other departments)... Will try out the other puzzlers next month as I've used up quite a fair bit of cash in the past month on gadgets and games...

The NDSL is not even 48 hours old yet and I'm already planning to get a slew of items to compliment it (i.e. pouches, a retractable stylus, a display stand, a play stand and a higher capacity micro sd card so I can plonk a fair bit of music onto it...
