Smiles...

It was a good day yesterday... because I made several people smile... An 80-something year old lady, a 3 year old and a 26 year old...

The 80-something year old lady is none other than my Grandma... visited her at the "home" yesterday and I must say I was plesantly surprised... not only was she well looked after and happy, the staff and volunteers at the centre genuinely enjoyed their jobs and spared no effort to brighten up the lives of the lodgers... Spent a good portion of the morning at the "home" and talked to her for a bit... also introduced her to Jeanie's Grandparents... They got along well and were soon chatting non-stop... She was so happy that tears streamed down her cheeks every once in a while... This alone, was worth the drive and getting pulled over...

The 3 year old is none other than little Kent, Jeanie's younger brother... Little Kent looked cuter than usual yesterday and when he asked me if I would get him a Power Ranger, I just had to... If you think you can say no to him, wait till you see him in person... A few minutes later we were in the Toy Department of Jusco, Kinta City... I discovered that he not only knew the difference between the knock-offs and the real deal, but he also knew of the latest models... hats off to you Bandai... If it were not for your hypnotic advertising, I would have spent a measly RM 29.90 instead of RM 69.90...

The 26 year old (well almost 26) year old is none other than Jeanie herself... we went out dinner at one of favourite eateries last night... Eric Tsang's Deli... As usual we had the hot pot for two... but instead of ordering a side order of sirloin, we had hand-made beef balls, abalone mushrooms and hand-made fresh water prawn dumplings instead... I would put some pictures up but I don't want anyone to know how much of a pig I am... We had some laughs during the dinner, took a picture or two and just enjoyed each other's company... well worth the RM 98.90 if you ask me...
